You probably can't ask to stop portability from EB3 to EB2 or EB2 to EB1. But you can ask for if filers from EB3 goes to EB2, they can't keep the PD from EB3 but get a new PD for the date USCIS process their EB2 application.
That will make people really think if that is worthy to do so. Otherwise every EB-3 filer will want to file again for EB-2 if they can.

They will not check for dependent EVL as it is not relevant in this case.

I didn't meant to hurt feelings here. and i know how Canada is less opportunity for IT folks. but just couple more points.
1) if number of jobs was criterion, India has far higher number of jobs in IT then US, so people should be rushing bk to India which is not the case. I don't think number of Jobs available in US is why people wanna live here. Even if it takes year or a little more, at least Canadians are transparent about the process.
2) I know everyone here is well read and well educated. Read up about AUS, NZ, Canada and few other countries which have point bases system, they are not under developed or backward in any way. Wikipedia might help.
And please read carefully, my wife is on another beauty of a status called H4B, i mentioned clearly i know how easily people got their H1B's through consultants.

Kyl, however, speaking yesterday to nationally syndicated radio host Laura Ingraham, said he was uncertain whether or not Republicans would have the 40 votes necessary to block the legislation.
"I would certainly hope that the majority of Republicans in the Senate would not be complicit in passing legislation that is not wise, that for example, would put everybody on a path to citizenship and say that temporary workers get to get U.S. citizenship, and so on," Kyl said, according to HotAir.com
In January, Democrats will have a 51-49 majority over Republicans in the Senate. A supermajority of 61 votes would be needed to prevent a filibuster.
"I would certainly hope that we would have the 40 votes to be able to stop [the legislation], but, I don't know, we're going to have to wait and see; it'll be very close," said Kyl, who won re-election to another six-year term last week.
Arguing for the guest-worker program, the Bush administration has insisted it's not practical to deport the millions of foreigners who are in the country illegally.
"The cost of identifying all of those people and sending them back would be stupendous. It would be billions and billions of dollars," Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said in an interview last year.
"One of the reasons I think that we've been focusing on the idea of a temporary worker program as part of a larger strategy for border security is because it would be a way to siphon off people who really want to do nothing more than work here, put them into a regulated program � we would know who they are � we would then be able to send them back at the end of a period of three years or six years," he told Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel program "Hannity & Colmes."
"They would have made some money, they could take it back home, and then we could focus our other resources on the people that don't want to do it the right way, and we could get those people sent out."
Last May, just 36 senators � three of them Democrats � voted against a bill that included a guest-worker program. This is a great point. Even if we get one time relief,that should suffice because retro might not happen in the future as there will not be 245si/195kH1bs. I hope one of the core group members might want to look at this. This will atleast counteract the exaggerated and bloated immigration numbers by the antiimmigrant groups.

Global economy downfall impact will be there in india also,Indian Stock market is also going down, Due to Inflation, High interest ,Election year (India). It is better to wait till next year.
Even in Mumbai, prices are coming down (~10-20% from last year) however they are so high right now it has to crash more than 50% to come in "NRI" range. I feel sorry for the common middle class of Mumbai... They have no options but to go beyond Borivali and Thane even after crash :( ....

I posted my comments and my story (with links to couple articles that were published sometime back about my case in a newspaper).
Lets add more stories. As someone already suggested lets concentrate on how our GC can contribute to the economy - buying a house/establishing a company/etc. I also quoted some of the recent studies that showed how immigrant entrepreneurs positively contributed to the economy (couple links from IV).
I posted my comments and my story (with links to couple articles that were published sometime back about my case in a newspaper).

Did the doctor not give you your copy when you did your medicals ? Also the shots taken should be listed on the immunization card.
My bet is the doctor may charge you some amount for giving the forms in a sealed envelope again.
btw, I am in the same boat as you. Application reached on 7/2. No rejection notice or receipt notice as yet.

When I call NSC they tell there status says whatever is on website, Only thing she did opened SR. And I have not heard anything on that....I took info pass ...same thing...The lady on NSC says she can not even see my Priority Date ..
